Specialty coffee that brings hope to Rwanda

We supply premium quality green and roasted coffee that contributes to Rwanda’s future.

 

Our coffee grows in one of Africa's oldest rainforests and on the shores of the Great Lakes.

 

San Coffee supports employment and empowerment and helps to restore Africa's oldest rainforests. Investments from sales go directly to the farmers through our cooperative arrangements.

 

Our mission is to push the boundaries of coffee, set new standards, and grow coffee businesses. We’re all about educating, inspiring, collaborating, and sharing our specialty coffee experiences.

 

San Coffee produces specialty-grade Arabica Bourbon and Jackson 2/1257, which consistently cups at 86+. 

 

Our cooperative sources the very best cherries from our farmers, who have anywhere between 20 and 8,000 coffee trees. We produce 40 tons of slow-grown coffee beans with intense flavours from these farms.

 

Our flavour profile: cherry, papaya, lime, black sugar, caramel, chocolate, nutty, low citric, and medium malic acidity, and a buttery body.

 

We are passionate about our farmers and the relationship we have built through the years and the quality of coffee they supply. 

 

It is hard work to grow and nurture specialty coffee. As such, we pay our farmers fair prices for their coffee. We also help them with medical insurance and their children’s school fees. 

 

In the future, we plan to develop an instant coffee brand, gain organic certification and offer coffee tourism at our farm.
